Official NASA publicity photo for the STS-2, or Second Space Shuttle Orbital Test flight mission, signed by its two-man crew. Commander ''Joe Engle'' and pilot ''Richard Truly'' sign in felt tip with Engle additionally inscribing, ''To Hubert / Best regards''. As rookie astronauts, Engle and Truly flew the space shuttle Columbia in 36 orbits around the Earth from 12-14 November 1981. Included in the lot are news clippings about the mission and a 3'' print of the mission insignia mounted to paper. 10'' x 8'' matte photo has NASA logo and promo blurb printed to verso. Near fine.
