Large red, white and blue commemorative Columbia space shuttle flag. First flown in 1972, the Columbia shuttle was destroyed in a disastrously tragic accident on 1 February 2003, in which seven crew members were killed while the shuttle attempted to make its re-entry landing. The red white and blue flag is in the design of other flags from other shuttle missions, and features ''Columbia'' in large blue type written across the middle and ''Space Flight Awareness'' written in red to the upper left corner. These flags were made available to employees of the Kennedy Space Center shortly before the Shuttle program ended. Nylon flag measures 4' x 6'. Fine condition.
