Children's author Maurice Sendak autograph postcard signed, dated 12 June 1967. The author of the beloved ''Where the Wild Things Are'' writes to his puppeteer friend Herbert Hosmer, ''Dear Herb, the stone is so, so beautiful and it came on my birthday! Need I say more??? Some wild sightseeing (by car) - lots of rest - & home next week - will call - all love, M.'' The postcard, sent from London, is of Chiswick House's gallery. Measuring 4'' x 5.75'', card has very light wear to corners, in near fine condition.
