Invitation to the Truman White House, dated 17 December 1947. Lot also includes original postmarked White House envelope addressed to Miss Jane Lingo of Washington DC. Official invitation with embossed Presidential seal is engraved ''Mrs. Truman At Home'' and filled out with the date and time, but not personalized to the recipient. Invitation and envelope measure 4.5'' x 3.5'' and 4.75'' x 3.75'' respectively. Very good condition with some toning.
