William Taft typed letter signed on his personal stationery, dated 12 June 1915, the interim period between his service as President and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Taft's note to Edward Bok, editor of ''Ladies Home Journal'', reads: ''...I have your telegram and shall hope to be on hand for the dinner at the Bellevue-Stratford...'' The bold black ink signature reads: ''Wm. H. Taft''. Single page card style letter, measuring 7'' x 9.25'', shows minor toning. Near fine.
