Original gravestone from the first burial site of screen legend Gary Cooper. Cooper passed away on 13 May 1961 and was buried at the Holy Cross cemetery in Culver City, California where his grave remained for 13 years. In May of 1974, Cooper's remains were exhumed and transferred to the Sacred Heart cemetery in Southhampton, New York at the request of his widow Veronica. This is the headstone from the original burial site. Bronze gravestone reads ''Gary Cooper / 1901-1961'' with a small cross above Cooper's name. Measures 24.5'' x 12.5'' and weighs 17.2 lbs. Very good.
