Dr. Seuss typed letter signed, dated 18 January 1971. Addressed to Diddo Clark upon his personal stationery, letter reads in part: ''...Way back on November 4 I received a charming illustrated invitation from you to join you and your twenty Freshmen for dinner...I am still in a horrific time jam trying to finish a movie in Hollywood. I can assure you that I wish to meet with your group, and I will contact you (if the invitation is still open) as soon as my insane schedule quiets down. With very best wishes, [signed in orange crayon] Dr. Seuss''. Single page measures 7'' x 10.5''. Creasing and light toning, else near fine.
