Magic trick apparatus, like the kind that was gifted to 9-year-old Bradbury by his unlikely mentor, ''Mr. Electrico'', a carnival performer who put on an act that Bradbury says inspired him to write fiction. Although Bradbury stated in the September 1975 issue of ''True'' magazine that he still owned the gift: ''...a small cup-and-ball magic trick that he placed in my hands. I have it still...'', it's not certain that this is the same trick or if it was acquired by Bradbury later, as the red sponge ball portion of it was not invented until the 1940's. Ball and vase trick is made of wood with a red sponge ball and half ball segment, still in working condition. Measures 6.25'' x 2.75''. In near fine condition. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate.
