Lockwood became one of the first female attorneys to practice before the Supreme Court and females to run for President. Letter is addressed to ''Hon. J.H. Baker'' and reads in full: ''The enclosed evidence completes the requisition sent from your Office May 14th and not enclosed in evidence sent June 22nd''. Signed ''Belva A. Lockwood'', letter on one page measures 7.75'' x 9.75'' with docketing to verso, minor tonight throughout, else near fine condition.
