Lot of 10 signed items from Washington public figures (plus one from Hugh Hefner), mostly photos and two typed letters signed. Comprises: (1) Hubert Humphrey, VP under Johnson, photo signed with his autograph inscription along the bottom edge. Framed to an overall size of 8.5'' x 10.5'', (2-3) candid photos of Henry Kissinger, both taken within moments of each other, each signed, ''Henry A. Kissinger'' with his autograph dedication along the bottom edge. Framed to 10.75'' x 9'', (4) Ethel Kennedy photo signed with her autograph inscription along the bottom edge in red felt tip. Framed to 10.75'' x 9'', (5) Hugh Hefner photo signed with a dedication along the bottom edge. Framed to 10'' x 8'', (6) Jimmy Carter photo signed with his autograph inscription to lower right. Matted and framed to 12.25'' x 14.25'', (7-8) Gerald Ford signed photo displays. Photos of Ford are mounted to a mat signed, ''Gerald R. Ford'' following a printed dedication. One piece features a single large photo, framed to 19'' x 14.75'' with a typed letter signed from the White House press secretary on official stationery affixed to frame verso and the other piece features two photos mounted side by side, framed to 23.75'' x 12.75''. (9-10) Jimmy Carter two typed letters signed. The first is dated 11 November 1976 on his personal stationery and reads, ''To Ken Scheibel / Thank you for sending me your letter via Mike Mansfield. Your background is impressive, and I am sending your resume to my transition staff. Sincerely, [signed] Jimmy Carter''. The second letter is dated 6 October 1981, the year Carter left office. Addressed to the same recipient it reads, ''Thank you for sending me your remarks from my 1974 appearance at the National Press Club. I appreciate having this reminder of our early friendship. Sincerely [signed] Jimmy / [autograph postscript] Your introduction was obviously my launching pad / - J''. Single-page letters are matted and framed side by side to an overall size of 16.75'' x 12''. All photos are black and white and dedicated to journalist Ken Scheibel. Photos and letters have not been removed from the frames for further inpection but appear near fine.
