Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Daytime Drama Series for the 1979-1980 season. Trophy was awarded to Judith Pinsker ''And Her Writing Colleagues'', on ABC daytime drama Ryan's Hope. The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' iconic statue of a winged woman on tiptoe, holding an atom, is intended to symbolize television's convergence of science and art. Statue is made of gold-plated metal on a metal base. The front of the base is engraved with the name of the award and its category and recipient. Measures 15.5'' in total height, with a 7.5'' diameter base. Weighs 5 lbs., 7 ounces. Dark tarnishing consistent with exposure to chlorine or bleach and denting to the base around bottom edge, else near fine.
