"Photographic History of the Civil War" by Francis Trevelyan Miller. The Review of Reviews Co.: New York: 1911. Each book in the set of ten is filled with dramatic and startling images of the deadliest conflict in American history, many taken by Mathew Brady, considered the father of photojournalism, and his studio. Blue cloth boards with gilt embellishments. Pictorial endpapers, frontispiece maps and top edges gilt. Books measure 8.25" x 11". Some fabric loss to edges and a burn mark to Volume II, else near fine.
