Marlene Dietrich personally owned pair of double egg cups from her New York apartment. One cup is in the iconic red oriental ''Willow'' pattern and bears a ''Made in England'' stamp. The other is nearly identical in size, shape and color but is part of the Johnson Brothers' classic ''Historic America'' pattern, featuring a scene from Fort Dearborn, Chicago, complete with acorn and oak leaf motif. The latter bears no marks. Dates from 1930 to 1974. Each measures 4'' in height with a 2.5'' diameter mouth on the wider end and 2'' diameter mouth on the smaller end. A few minute chips to the rim of the Johnson Brothers cup on the small end, else set is near fine. From the estate of Marlene Dietrich.
