Nazi Officer Erwin Rommel typed letter signed, datelined "Divisional Battle Position, March 30th 1942". Rommel signs in pencil, "E. Rommel" to the typed order for a decoration "…for Iron Cross First Class…" for "Sievers Michael…awarded at 3.10.1942…" Signed as "General and Commander of the Tank Army, Africa." Rommel, known as the Desert Fox, was a renowned and respected World War II General, linked to the conspiracy to kill Adolf Hitler. German letter measures 8" x 10.75". Light toning, else fine condition.
