It reads in part: ''...Let me answer your question in terms of the rate of progress we are making in applying nuclear technology in the three areas where I believe it can have the greatest impact: nuclear medicine, the peaceful uses of nuclear explosives, and nuclear energy...the lack of progress in the peaceful use of nuclear explosives has been quite disappointing...For the foreseeable future, nuclear energy means nuclear fission reactors...'' 2pp. letter on 2 sheets measures 8.5'' x 11''.
