Two original production sketches for the 1946 RKO film, ''Tarzan and the Leopard Woman'' based on the famous Tarzan series by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Each sketch is signed by noted watercolorist Phil Paradise, who employs ink, graphite and watercolor on paper. First sketch depicts a caravan in the jungle with ''Tarzan and the Leopard Men. / Caravan -- Jungle Near Leopardmens Quarters'' handwritten along bottom. Portrays a scene in the film where the women from the Zambezi School head into the jungle and are ambushed by the Leopard Men. Second sketch depicts dense jungle foliage and a tent with ''Tarzan and the Leopard Men / Lazars Quarters'', and refers to a medical official who turns out to be the film's villain. ''Tarzan and the Leopard Men'' was the working title of the film. Sketches are in pencil, charcoal and gouache on artist paper and measure 10'' x 8'', double-matted to an overall size of 14.5'' x 12.5''. Provenance from Bonham's.
