Edie Bouvier Beale autograph letter signed simply, ''E''. Letter to Ms. Janet Hosking in New York dates to 21 April 1981 and reads in part, ''...Christmas I was in bed with fever and the Bangkok flu!...I haven't had my horoscope done yet - lost the address out in California - Hindu astrologer charges $75 - they do it by the moon and not the sun as Western astrologists do. I have to find the addresses again thru a friend. Of course you have to give time of birth to get it done correctly with Hindu or Western astrologist...P.P.S. I asked one of my cousins (who has British connections) why poor Prince Charles looked so unhappy - he said he was forced to marry in order to take his mother's (the Queen) place! I read some time ago that Elizabeth II would never step down!'' Accompanied by the original mailing envelope bearing Beale's return address at Henry St. in South Hampton, NY. 3pp. letter on a single sheet of card-style stationery measures 3.75'' x 5.25''. Mailing folds, near fine overall.
