Bill Clinton document signed as Governor of Arkansas. Typed proclamation orders the execution of convicted murderer David Lee Starr. It states the conviction was appealed to and affirmed by the Arkansas Supreme Court and the Petition for Rehearing was denied. Document further sets the date of enforcement of the death penalty for this man as 12 January 1989, ''...at the place and in the manner prescribed by law...[signed] Bill Clinton...'' Countersigned by Bill McCuen as Arkansas Secretary of State. Single-page document bears a gilt Arkansas seal. Measures 8.5'' x 14''. Crease through center. Near fine.
