Rare first edition copy of ''Four Years in Europe With Buffalo Bill'' by Charles Eldridge Griffin, Stage Publishing Co.: Albia Iowa: 1908. Griffin's account is of the 1902-1903 Buffalo Bill Wild West tour of Great Britain. Book presents a firsthand behind-the-scenes chronicle of the tour, which brought to life credible portrayals of the legendary culture of the American frontier. Runs 94pp. Bound in red cloth boards measuring 5.75'' x 8.5''. Some soiling and wear to boards and spine, prior owner's dedication in pencil to the front free endpaper, detached fly-leaf with frontis photo of Buffalo Bill and partial detachment of pp.35-46 from spine, overall good plus condition. One of only 500 reported copies of the first edition, with considerably fewer still extant.
