Margaret Mitchell signed first edition, second printing of her masterpiece ''Gone With The Wind,'' published by Macmillan: New York: 1936. She inscribes the front free endpaper: ''Margaret Mitchell'' in bold, blue script. Her Pulitzer Prize-winning epic novel, set in the American South during the Civil War and Reconstruction, became the classic film of the same name. Runs 1037pp. Bound in green cloth boards with blue print lettering. Includes original dustjacket with unclipped ''$3.00'' tag intact. Some minor tears and chipping to dustjacket, especially along the spine. Book measures 6.25'' x 8.75'' with minor rubbing and small scratch to spine. Includes original bookseller's sticker to rear pastedown. Very good plus. A scarce signed first edition of an American classic.
