China plate from the 18 January 1981 inaugural dinner of President Ronald Reagan and Vice President George H.W. Bush. Dinner plate is among those given to attendees as a parting gift. Plate commissioned by Mottahedeh features a design that reproduces the 18th Century Chinese Fitzhugh export pattern in green, with an asian floral and butterfly motif. A presidential eagle appears at center. With maker's mark of Shenango China, Division of Anchor Hocking in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Housed in original presentation case, plate measures 10'' in diameter. Fine.
