Patricia Neal's wedding costume from ''The Fountainhead''. Neal stars as Dominique Francon in the 1949 adaptation of Ayn Rand's masterpiece novel. Two-piece dress worn by Neal in her character's wedding scene is made of off-white jersey material with thin gold horizontal striping, fully lined in light grey silk. Comprises a long-sleeved top with shirring detail at the bottom center, and matching skirt with shirring at the top of the waist in the front. Top features a label sewn to lining that reads in red, ''Warner Bros. Pictures, Inc. / [handwritten number] A3660-707''. Top measures 15.5'' across the chest, and skirt measures 10.5'' across the waist. Skirt zips up the back. Minor toning to fabric, thinning and threadbaring to fabric on collar and scattered wear to gold striping. Also tiny rust spot on the top near the dart on the left. Overall very good.
