Upon his personal stationery Rockwell's letter to one Mrs. Palmer, dated 23 March 1971 reads in full, ''In reply to your letter of March 15th, I have found that it is just impossible to autograph the large book directly, so I am enclosing two bookplates. Thank you for writing. Sincerely yours, [signed] Norman Rockwell''. Single-page letter measures 5.75'' x 7.75''. Fold through center. Near fine.
