''Investigation of the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy, Hearings Before the President's Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy,'' United States Government Printing Office: Washington D.C.: 1964. Illustrated rare books in 26 volumes provide the public record of the events surrounding Kennedy's assassination via testimony, photographs and documents. Specific topics include witness testimony, autopsy reports, motives of Lee Harvey Oswald and the possibility of conspiracy. Accompanied by the summary report volume and a reference guide by Walt Brown, Ph.D. who inscribes the front free endpaper, ''To Mary Perot Nichols - In hopes it proves to be helpful - Best always - Walt Brown''. Volumes 1-27 are bound in navy cloth boards with gilt Presidential eagle encircled by 50 stars on the front boards. Volumes measure 6.5'' x 9.5'' and weigh approximately 60 pounds total. Sunning to spines and occasional minor staining to exteriors, faint foxing to top edges. Cocking to spine of Vol.1 and split rear interior hinge on the Report volume, else near fine overall. An increasingly hard to find original set.
