First day cover dated 29 May 1978 signed by Sir Edmund Hillary and sherpa Tenzing Norgay, honoring the 25th anniversary of their ascent of Mt. Everest. The 8'' x 4.5'' cover has a postmark from Namche Bazar near the original base camp, two commemorative stamps and a special edition coin, all housed in an 8.5'' x 5.25'' blue leatherette folder. Fine condition.
