William Taft typed letter signed as Chief Justice on Supreme Court letterhead. Dated 8 May 1924 to "Ladies Home Journal" Editor Edward Bok, Taft writes, "Thank you for giving me the information in respect to General Smuts. I shall communicate it to President Angell. With warm regards, Sincerely yours," and signs boldly "William H. Taft" in black ink. Measuring 8" x 10.75" with expected creases from mailing and some toning. Near fine.
