Theodore Roosevelt signs a document as President appointing Rhodric Winfield Browne to the position of First Lieutenant in the Army's Medical Reserve Corps. Dated 24 November 1908, the single page certificate is countersigned by Luke E. Wright as Secretary of War, and features a blue U.S. War Office seal. Beautiful parchment paper is engraved at top, "The President of the United States of America". Measures 21" x 16". Scattered foxing, else near fine condition.
