President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Vice President Henry A. Wallace 1941 inauguration pin. The pin features a badge of the two politicians, a red, white and blue ribbon and a small plastic donkey, representing the Democratic party's "Kicking Donkey" mascot. The 1940 election was fought in the shadow of World War II as the U.S. was emerging from the Great Depression. Pin and ribbon measures approximately 2" x 3.5" with an "Official Souvenir" stamp on verso. Some light toning else fine condition.
