French Revolution hero Francois Etienne de Kellermann 1795 military document signed as chief de brigade of the "Regiment of Dragons". The document discharges a solider, George Caille, due to a wound to his left leg sustained in service. Signed "Kellermann". Napoleon appointed Kellermann honorary Marshal of France in 1804, and bestowed upon him the title, "Duke of Valmy" in 1808. Single page measures 9.75" x 14.75". Toning and mild staining. Ink spot touches signature, else near fine.
