Autograph inscription fills the entire front free endpaper, reading in full, ''Lawrence, Kansas / May 10 1954 / From The Author / To / My Good Ks. State Friend / 'Ted' O'Dell / of / Bison, Kansas / Sincerely Yours, / Forrest C. Allen / 'Phog' / All Good Wishes to / you and Clarence Ernie / My Two Good Pals - FCA''. Volume is bound in black cloth boards with faux-leather surface, measuring 5.75'' x 8.75''. Toning to leaves and endpapers, else near fine. Toning and chipping to top and bottom edges of dustjacket, with surface loss at the front flap hinge. Very good.
