Datelined Washington, 4 June 1841, this intriguing document commands the Secretary of State to drop the suit against William Treadwell, "Master of the American Brig America". Partially-printed single page document measures 8" x 9.75", attractively matted beside an etching of Tyler. Creasing, faint toning and a small tear to the left edge at fold line. Near fine.
