Thomas S. Bocock, Speaker of the Confederate States of America's House of Representatives during most of the Civil War, signs this card. Bocock writes ''Th: S. Bocock / Appomattox / Virginia'' in black ink. Bocock was the prosecuting attorney for Appomattox County, Virginia, in 1845 and 1846. Note measures 4.75'' x 2.75''. Some slight toning and foxing, else near fine condition.
