World-famous Italian opera singer Enrico Caruso's hand-drawn sketch, signed ''Caruso''. Caruso here draws himself as the character ''Flammen'' in the opera ''Lodoletta''. Caruso signs his name to the lower right; some paper loss affects signature, so that ''Caruso / Aires'' and part of the date is visible. Caruso was performing as Flammen in Buenos Aires in 1917. Drawing is done in black ink and measures 7.25'' x 9''. Toning, creasing and chipping. Matted in white to an overall size of 10.5'' x 14.5''. Overall good condition.
