World-famous Italian opera singer Enrico Caruso's hand-drawn sketch, unsigned, on Plaza Hotel Buenos Aires stationery. At this time, circa 1917, Caruso was performing ''Lodoletta'' in Buenos Aires. Angular, art-deco portrait depicts a man in a suit posing in profile, likely one of the characters from the opera, as he was apt to draw. Rendered in pencil, sketch measures 8'' x 10.5''. Matted in white to an overall size of 10.5'' x 14.5''. Toning and light creasing and foxing, very good condition. From a larger collection of Caruso caricatures.
