Complete press package for the JFK Welcome Dinner slated for the evening of 22 November 1963 in Austin, Texas. Sadly all for naught, each 1-2pp. typed press release in the kit supplies the media with news pertaining to Kennedy's visit and promotes the sale of tickets to the dinner. One release serves as a who's-who of the guest list, and others cover such specifics as the menu and dress code. The President's motorcade line-up is furnished as well. A total of 16 original sheets are housed within a white pocket folder printed starkly in black, ''Texas Welcome Dinner / Press Kit'', with an E. Pluribus Unum seal printed at the top. Press releases all measure either 8.5'' x 11'' or 8.5'' x 14''. Toning and creasing to some releases, else near fine. Folder measures 9'' x 14''. Scattered bits of light toning or staining, with rust to staples on the pockets, else near fine. Included is an illustrated map of the motorcade route on a 5.25'' x 8.5'' slip of newsprint in very good condition.
