Lot of 120 photographs taken by Wilbur Kurtz on set during the filming of ''Gone With The Wind''. Wilbur Kurtz is the film's historian and several of his photos are housed at the Atlanta Historical Society. Extensive photo collection shows a vast assortment of behind-the-scenes scenes, including more than twenty shots of Vivien Leigh in elaborate Southern belle costume as the legendary Scarlett O'Hara. One such photo captures Leigh opposite Clark Gable, and another shows her resting in a chair reading on set between takes. Included are scenes from O'Hara's beloved plantation Tara as well as images from the main street in town, skeleton structures of buildings and bodies from the battle scenes. Each glossy black and white photo measures 5'' x 4''. Near fine overall, with occasional minor creasing, light buckling or staining to verso. A very scarce glimpse into the making of a cinematic landmark.
