Legendary actress Joan Crawford typed letter signed. The Oscar-winner writes warmly to a fan, Patricia Lahr, dating her letter 17 March 1961. Letter on her personal stationery reads in part, ''Thank you so much for your lovely letter, and for telling me about the gift you are making for me. As I plan to be here on the West Coast for some time, I suggest that you send it to me here. Yes, as far as I know now, my autobiography will contain photographs. I am so happy to hear that you are pleased with the meat loaf recipe, and that your friends enjoyed your meat loaf. It is quite a simple and delicious recipe, I think. I hope you have as good luck with the potato salad. I am afraid I will not be in New York this summer, Patricia. I am planning a trip to Europe on business for Pepsi-Cola; and also expect to spend a good deal of time here in Los Angeles. Perhaps I will have better news later, however.
