Silver and guilloche man's brush marked Faberge, with the original workmaster's mark of Feodor Afanassiev circa 1908-1917. Inventory number is intact, though scratched, reading ''19913''. Brush is shaped oblong with rounded corners and has a beautiful handle enameled in translucent white over a wavy guilloche ground, within a ribbon-tied laurel-chased border, marked on edge. Brush is housed in the original fitted case with stamp in Russian, ''Faberge St. Petersburg Moscow London'' beneath the Imperial warrant. Measures 2.5''. Some discoloration to bristles, else near fine. With provenance from Christie's and Sotheby's.
