Warm letter on his personal stationery dated 6 December 1955 reads in part, ''My dear Crowe / I am delighted you will be seeing David and Mary. I told Mrs. Connell (Mary's mother) and she asked if you would take a parcel out to Mary: of things she just cannot get in Chile...The Connell's are delightful people and have a large estate near Glasgow. He is a ship-builder on the Clyde and they are very rich! I enjoyed last night at the Athenaeum. When you get back from your voyage you must come and stay here a night, and tell me about David/Mary/ and Henry. Yrs ever / Monty.'' 2pp. on a single sheet measuring 5'' x 8''. Near fine.
