This brief note, dated 15 February 1955, was written while MacArthur lived in New York City and reads in full: ''Thank you so much for your birthday greeting. I appreciated it deeply. It made my day a brighter one, indeed...[signed] Douglas MacArthur''. Strong signature in black ink, with Mac underlined. Includes the mailing envelope. 1pp. measures 8'' x 10.5''. Near fine.
