Ernest Hemingway signed limited edition of ''A Farewell to Arms,'' Charles Scribner's Sons: New York: 1929. First edition, limited to 510 copies signed by the author, this being copy number 287 of the only signed limited edition of Hemingway's major works. One of Hemingway's most successful books often described as the greatest war novel of all time, signed ''Ernest Hemingway'' in ink to the limitation page. Runs 355pp. Bound in sage green cloth boards with vellum spine, measuring 6.25'' x 9.25''. Housed in an oatmeal cloth slipcase with caramel leather spine and gilt lettering. Prior owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Staining to vellum spine and overall wear to exterior, else near fine.
