T.S. Eliot typed letter signed to Julien Cain, the administrator of the Bibliotheque nationale de France. Here he writes on 16 April 1956 to congratulate Cain on the new exhibition catalog: ''...Your own introduction is what makes the catalogue the most precious to me, as it seems to me to say exactly the right things. I wish, however, that I could be in Paris and see the Exhibition itself, but the problem of currency makes visits to Paris very difficult nowadays...'' Single page on Faber and Faber Publishers letterhead measures 6.75'' x 7.75''. Framed with a photo of Eliot to an overall size of 22'' x 15''. Near fine.
