Elvis Presley's personally owned customized gold watch. Custom-made by Memphis Jeweler Harry Levitch in 1971, this Mathey Tissot has ''ELVIS PRESLEY'' engraved in raised circular letters studded with four small stars around the bezel. Self-winding automatic watch functions properly; it's water-resistant with a sweeping second hand, day/date display and stainless steel underside. With a copy of an LOA from Alan Fortas, who was gifted the watch by Elvis in the early 1970's. The two became friends in Graceland in the 1950's and Fortas worked for Presley for most of his career as one of the prominent ''Memphis Mafia.'' LOA reads in part, ''I, Alan Fortas, do hereby certify, that...the following items that were once the personal property of Elvis Presley and were given to me by Elvis Presley personally. A Mathey Tissot watch that was made up for Elvis by Harry Levitch Jewelers of Memphis. The watch has the name 'ELVIS PRESLEY' around the dial...'' Face of watch measures 1.25''; band measure 2.5'' with a 1'' clasp. A few discreet scratches, else near fine. An extraordinarily unique and personal item from the King of Rock 'n Roll.
