Daniel Webster autograph letter signed regarding one of his key accomplishments, the Webster-Ashburton Treaty, then called the ''Washington Treaty.'' Letter dated only 27 March reads in full, ''My Dear Sir / I have occasion to look over the Debates in the House of Commons, particularly Lord Palmerston's speech, or the Washington Treaty. The Debate took place, I think, between the 5 & 10 of April 1843. If you will send me the English newspapers containing it, I will see them safely returned. Yrs / D Webster''. Single page measures 4.75'' x 7''. Framed with a portrait of Webster to an overall size of 17'' x 13''. Some fading to letter, else very good.
