Harry S. Truman signed copy of ''Mr. President'' chronicling his time at the White House. Written by William Hillman and published by Farrar, Straus and Young: New York: 1952. Inscribed on the frontis portrait, ''Kindest regards from Harry Truman / 10/27/59''. Bound in green cloth boards with Truman's signature and quote printed in gilt, ''I want the people to know the Presidency as I have experienced it and I want them to know me as I am.'' Book measures 8.25'' x 11.25''. Also comes with newspaper clipping and feature story following Truman's death from ''The Detroit News''. Previous owner's bookplate on pastedown, minor fading and bump to lower corner of front board; very good condition. Dustjacket has heavy chipping on front and back, with light discoloring; good condition. With PSA/DNA COA.
