Franklin Delano Roosevelt's own stationery rack. Charming four-compartment desktop piece is crafted from carved wood and painted black. Measures 7.75'' in height, 9'' across and 4.5'' deep. Minor rubbing to edges, else near fine. With provenance from the ''Miscellaneous Objects Belonging to the Late President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt'' sale, Hammer Galleries, New York, 12 November to 3 December 1951, Lot 813. Also with a copy of the letter from Eleanor Roosevelt placing the belongings up for auction.
