Written on four sheets of Emory University Hospital letterhead to Marie Quinn, letter reads in part, ''...I have had an operation it was decided and arranged quickly not as emergency but per my decision to have it done...as I had had enough of pain...I sure had the red carpet treatment here per my friend Dr. Wood...T.R.C. / weigh 184''. Pages measure 5.5'' x 8.5'', in near fine condition.
