Costume worn by Will Rogers Jr. as his father in the 1952 film ''The Story of Will Rogers''. Brick red velvet pants and jacket are decorated lavishly with sequins, pom poms and embroidery. Matador-inspired jacket features a Warner Brothers tag sewn within, hand-labeled in part, ''11/30/51 / Will Rogers...'' Fully-lined jacket has applied saffron cowboy boots on the front and clusters of sequins along the edges in blue, plum, green, yellow and red. Matching pants feature flared legs with deep orange pleated panels. With side-zipper closure. Small tear to one of the pleated panels and faint overall fading to fabric, else near fine.
