Golden Age of Hollywood actor Peter Lorre costume nightgown worn during filming of the Warner Brothers 1946 crime drama, ''Three Strangers''. Depicted in many films as the solemn, often sinister foreigner, Lorre in this film breaks stereotype as a charming drunkard. Cream colored cotton nightgown is collared with three buttons and long-sleeves. Tag sewn to inseam reads: ''Warner Bros. / Date 8/14/45 / Prod. 655 / Peter Lorre / Size 16/31''. Floor-length nightgown measures 18'' x 45'' and is in near fine condition. With a Gene London Costume Collection COA.
