Katharine Hepburn costume from the 1936 drama "Mary of Scotland". Custom-made for the actress, though edited out from the final version. The legendary Hepburn starred in the 16th century period piece as Mary Stuart during her infamous but temporary "box office poison" career slump. Peach silk gown features the collar worn by Hepburn on the movie poster, with matching crocheted decoration to the cuffs. Costume is an approximate size M, measuring 16" across the chest. Toning to crochet details and a small stain on the right sleeve, else near fine. With a Gene London Costume Collection COA.
